Eligibility Criteria

Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process Age

Candidates must be between 17.5 to 21 years old. (Age limits are subject to change based on government policies.)

Educational Qualification

10th pass with at least 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.

Agniveer Technical

Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process 12th pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.

Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper Technical

Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process 12th pass in any stream with at least 60% marks in aggregate and 50% in each subject.

Agniveer Tradesman (10th pass)

10th pass with simple passing marks in all subjects.

Agniveer Tradesman (8th pass)

Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process 8th pass with simple passing marks in all subjects.

Nationality

Must be an Indian citizen. Some allowances are made for Gorkhas of Nepal and subjects of Bhutan.

Online Registration

Application Fee Pay the application fee of ₹550 + GST online submit and Print Submit the application and print two copies for future reference,

Documentation

Upload necessary documents like educational certificates, birth certificate, domicile certificate, and ID proof during registration.

Admit Card

Once the application is submitted, candidates will receive an admit card for the recruitment rally.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Pull-Ups

Points are awarded based on the number of pull-ups you can complete, with higher scores giving you a better chance of advancing through the selection stages.Participants should focus on performing pull-ups with the correct form, ensuring full arm extension at the bottom and chin above the bar at the top to count each pull-up accurately​,

9 Feet Ditch Jump

he 9-feet ditch jump is a part of the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) for the Indian Army Agniveer selection process. This event tests the candidate’s leg strength and agility, and it’s important for overall physical conditioning. If you fail to clear the ditch, you won’t qualify for the next stages of the selection process​Candidates are required to clear a 9-feet ditch as part of the obstacle course.

Zig-Zag Balance

Height

General Height Requirements For Certain Regions (EG Western Himalayan Eastern Himalayan Gorkhas etc) Minimum height may be relaxed to 162 cm or 157 cm. Chest

The chest measurement requirement for the Indian Army Agniveer varies based on regional recruitment standards. However, there is a general standard applied across most regions This standard ensures that candidates have adequate physical development and lung capacity, which are essential for the physical demands of military service Minimum 77 cm with a 5 cm expansion.

Weight

General Weight Guidelines Weight Proportionate to Height and Age The weight of the candidate should correspond to their height, with a typical range of 48 kg to 50 kg for candidates of average height. Points

General Knowledge (GK) Covers current affairs, history, geography, polity, and other general awareness topics. Mathematics Includes arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and basic mathematical concepts. Reasoning Focuses on logical reasoning, patterns, series, analogies, and basic puzzles. General Science For technical trades, includes physics, chemistry, and biology. General English Primarily for the Clerk/Store Keeper role, focusing on grammar, comprehension, and vocabulary.

Merit List

Based on performance in the Physical Fitness Test, Medical Examination, and Written Test, a merit list is prepared.The final selection is made based on the merit list, and selected candidates are called for training.

Training

Selected Agniveers undergo basic military training at designated training centers.The training period varies depending on the trade/category.

Service Tenure

Agniveers serve for a fixed tenure of 4 years.After completion, a certain percentage of Agniveers may be offered a chance to enroll as regular personnel in the Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process based on performance and organizational requirements.

Post-Service Benefit

Seva Nidhi Package

A corpus of ₹11.71 lakhs (approximately) is provided to Agniveers after 4 years of service, which includes their own contribution, a matching contribution by the government, and interest. Agniveer Contribution Each Agniveer contributes 30% of their monthly salary to the Seva Nidhi corpus. Government Contribution The Government of India matches the Agniveer’s contribution. nterest The corpus also earns interest over the four years.

Skill Certificates

Agniveer will receive a skill certificate detailing their service tenure and skills acquired.

Employment Opportunities

The scheme offers a provision for preference in certain government jobs and priority in recruitment for state police and other armed forces.The Indian Army Agniveer selection process is designed to identify individuals who are physically fit, medically sound, and mentally capable of serving in the Army.
