Fifth Day of Navratri: Worship of Goddess Skandamata

On the fifth day of Navratri, devotees worship Goddess Skandamata, the mother of Lord Skanda (Kartikeya).

Skandamata represents motherhood, compassion, and strength. She is believed to bless her devotees with wisdom, power, and prosperity.

The color of the day is yellow, symbolizing joy and cheerfulness. Many people wear yellow attire and decorate their homes with yellow flowers.

Chanting mantras and offering prayers to Skandamata during Navratri is believed to remove obstacles and grant peace of mind.

Om Devi Skandamatayai Namah" is the mantra chanted on this day. Reciting this mantra invokes the blessings of the goddess.

The significance of Skandamata extends beyond material benefits. She symbolizes the nurturing force of the universe and helps us connect with our spiritual selves.

Let us celebrate this auspicious day by offering devotion and seeking the guidance of Goddess Skandamata for a life filled with love, peace, and positivity.
