5 Highest mountain peaks in India



Also known as the Five Treasures of Snow, Kangchenjunga stands tall at the elevation of 8586 m above sea level. The mountain by Tamur river lies between India and Nepal. It is the highest peak in India and the third highest summit in the world.

Nanda devi 


Nanda Devi, located in the Garhwal region in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, is the second highest peak in India and is the 23rd highest peak in the world. The Nanda Devi National Park, set in proximity to the peak, is one of the best high altitude parks in the country.



 Kamet is the third highest peak in India,.and the second highest mountain in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand after Nanda Devi. Due to its geographical location, close to the Tibetan Plateau, the peak is remote. It is not as easily accessible as some famous peaks of the Himalayas.

Saltoro Kangri


Saltoro Kangri at 7742 m is the highest peak of the Saltoro Mountains, a part of the Karakoram. It is located close to the Siachen Glacier, which is one of the longest glaciers in the world. Saltoro Kangri is also the 31st highest peak in the world.

Saser Kangri


The mountain range is located in Ladakh territory and is the 35th highest mountain peak in the world. It’s a difficult peak to climb and several accidents during summit missions have occured in the past.
